My
career is plastic arts and I specialize in sculpture, my art has to
be mainly political, in ndifferent situations of hisyory art has an
important role in society. the artist must communicate or inform the
viewer.
An
example is the masterpiece “los muros de Chile” by the German
artist Louis Von Adelsheim, is a journey through visual art and the
poetic look that leads us to the center of the prison. A three year
film work together with Andrea Brandes (poet), inside the Valparaiso
prison, is the basis of the material that will transform the Quinta
Normal Museum of contemporany Art (MAC) into virtual prison. The
spectators will enter the interior of large moving pictures
disaplayed in each of the rooms of the museum, where there artist
call is to look at what happens there and to detect what the scenes
of that incomprehensible cosmos generate in them. It is the inner
world of the prison with its daily life. Its symbols and its rituals
and it is at the same time the intimate world of the incarcerated.
Whit their unconscious fears, their hopes and dreams.
This
work of art make us reflect as a spectator and look at the prison
system from the inside.
